Book One on One Breastfeeding Support:

I help families navigate the ups and downs of breastfeeding and provide evidence based care that draws on my foundations as a postpartum doula and someone who deeply understands the physical and emotional aspects of breastfeeding and lactation. Breastfeeding is natural but it doesn’t always come naturally! You are learning a brand new skill together with your brand new baby, and having a compassionate support person to guide you and provide you with resources that align with your feeding goals is what I’m here for. Whether you are exclusively breastfeeding, pumping, combination feeding, tandem feeding, or are ready to end your breastfeeding journey and in need of weaning support- I will meet you exactly where you are and help you find the right path forward.

Book One on One Sleep Support:

My approach is always to protect the connection between caregiver and child. For that reason I do not practice any form of sleep training, cry it out methods, or any other strategy that pushes separation. Instead, we will look at sleep through a holistic lens: Rhythms and routines, emotional regulation, sensory and nutritional needs, play and development, stages of attachment, and responsive nighttime parenting solutions. In this way families are truly set up to thrive by being given a set of tools they can return to anytime they need. Infant sleep is non-linear; it changes and goes forwards and back during the first year and beyond. When we have a clear understanding of what normal sleep actually looks like, then we can take a deep breath and decipher what may not actually be “broken” at all, and if something isn’t working then we can discuss gently shifting that pattern in a way that feels more sustainable to you. That’s it. No crying it out and no waiting it out. There is a comfy middle ground that keeps everyone’s emotional wellbeing in mind.

Holistic Solutions Package

For ages 6 months- 6 years. One 60-90 minute Sleep Education Call in which we will discuss any challenges you are currently having and take a look at your child's sleep from a holistic, developmentally-sensitive perspective. Perfect for families who are looking to optimize and improve their child's sleep without sleep training. Includes a detailed intake form analysis and written summary of our call, relevant referrals and resources. After 7-10 days of implementing foundations, we will have a 45 minute call to collaborate on creating a sleep plan to implement gentle shifts using connection and responsiveness as you work towards your goals. Following this call you will have 2 weeks to exchange 4 emails with me to track progress and help you make any necessary adjustments. Video calls will take place via Zoom.

You will have the opportunity to ask me up to 4 questions in a single email, to which I will respond with my notes and resources within 3 business days. If you need further clarification on what we have discussed, I will reply once more to assist you in getting the best understanding of your unique baby and suggestions I’ve proposed. A note from Lauren:

  • I support families, and families come in many forms. All are welcome here. I proudly serve LGBTQ+ families, single parents, adoptive parents, and all races, ethnicities, and cultural backgrounds under the sun. Everyone is deserving of open arms and evidence-based care.

  • In an effort to do my part to help close the gap in lactation support for marginalized families, I offer a number of free 30 spots for virtual lactation consults for BIPOC individuals, and make regular contributions to Black birth workers and lactation organizations in the community. Please get in touch if you or someone you know is in need of support.
